WELCOME TO VACATION

Make the first ride part of the plan.

Arrange and budget for airport transportation separately from complimentary on-property Disney transportation. Compare a shared shuttle, private transfer, rental car or suitable rideshare for your family’s arrival time, party size and luggage. Confirm child-seat arrangements directly with the provider; do not assume the vehicle will have what you need.

A late flight, stroller collection and a tired child can make arrival take longer than expected. Avoid a nonrefundable or hard-to-change experience immediately after landing. Keep medications, a change of clothes, charging supplies and the details of your transfer in your hand luggage.

Your room may not be ready when you arrive. Ask the hotel about its current luggage arrangements and keep anything you need that afternoon with you. If you are changing hotels, arrange the luggage transfer or vehicle plan explicitly rather than treating a park bus as a luggage shuttle.

FIND YOUR ROUTE

Each transportation option serves different places.

Disney resort transportation includes buses, boats, monorail and Skyliner where routes are available. A hotel may have more than one option, but no single service reaches every destination directly. Use My Disney Experience directions and current hotel signs for the trip you are making, not a general map from an old vacation.

Allow time for waiting, transfers, walking from the stop, security and park entry. A route that looks short on a map can still require several steps. Check the return journey too, especially after evening entertainment or a late dinner.

Weather and maintenance can change a route. Keep an alternative in mind and ask the hotel team about current service. Paid transportation, including Minnie Van service when available, is a separate choice—not part of every complimentary route.

ONE CURRENT RULE TO KNOW

Check eligibility before using Disney Springs as a connection.

Disney’s current guidance limits buses and the Sassagoula River Cruise departing Disney Springs for resort hotels to resort guests or visitors with qualifying dining or experience reservations. A room key or reservation may be requested. Visitors relying on a dining or experience reservation may board up to two hours before that reservation. Do not rely on Disney Springs as an unrestricted shortcut to any resort.

For a restaurant at another hotel, look up the route before choosing the reservation time. Resort-to-resort journeys may need a transfer, and a dining reservation does not automatically provide parking or access to every hotel facility. Ask the destination hotel if you are unsure.

A LITTLE PREPARATION HELPS

Make boarding easier for everyone.

Be ready to follow the current stroller, wheelchair and mobility-device instructions for the vehicle. Disney’s bus guidance requires ordinary strollers to be folded and kept out of aisles; other modes have their own boarding rules. Keep bags organized so unloading a stroller is manageable.

If a mobility device or medical stroller is part of your trip, review Disney’s transportation accessibility information before traveling and discuss practical boarding questions with staff. Vehicle space and loading procedures can affect the journey; avoid scheduling a connection so tightly that any delay becomes stressful.

  • Carry the hotel name and transfer confirmation somewhere easy to find.
  • Assign one adult to bags and one to children when boarding.
  • Keep medicines and valuables with you, not in unattended stroller storage.
  • On departure day, work backward from the provider’s pickup and airport requirements.
